How Reunite Child Assist Works

First, you must register your child

We need your personal information to provide this service. Upon registration, you are provided with a Reunite Child Assist Facecard, and a Reunite Wristband. These items are linked to your stored information and allow us to identify you and your child in an emergency.

If your child is lost...

You...

Call the police. They need to be immediately informed if you cannot find your child. Registering with Reunite does not change this regular course of action for you as a parent. Time is critical. Notifying the police is essential.

Your child...

Will have been taught to stay where they are, ask for help, and never walk away with a stranger. Your child will be wearing their Reunite Wristband which will tell the public how to help and ensure Reunite can identify your child.

The person who finds your child...

Is directed by your child's Reunite Wristband to call 1800 HELP NOW, and stay to with your child until you arrive.

Then Reunite...

1. Takes your child's ID number (on your child's wristband) from the caller, retrieves your contact information, and calls you.

2. Connects you with the caller via a three way conversation so you can discuss your child's location and be reunited.

If your child is hurt, sick, or missing...

Call 000. Registering your child with Reunite does not interrupt the normal course of action that should be taken in an emergency.

Inform them of your registration. The police, paramedics and emergency medical staff can call Reunite 24 hours a day for a complete report about your child, including a detailed medical history, current physical description and a recent photograph.

If a bystander calls 000 on behalf of your child, your child's Reunite Wristband will tell emergency services there is extensive information about your child on record, including your contact details and their important medical information. They can then call us for the complete report, 24 hours a day, ensuring if anything ever happens to your child when you are not there, you will be immediately informed.

1800 HELP NOW

1800 HELP NOW (1800 435 766) is the Reunite emergency hotline. This is the number the police, paramedics, emergency medical staff, or someone who has found your lost child, can call for assistance from Reunite.
